Lobivia schieliana about to bloom

I bought this cactus at a show last March. It was a solitary planted in a small container. By now it is not much bigger – it is still no bigger than a ruble coin in diameter. But it has already grown a bunch of offshoots.

Just a couple of weeks ago I was looking at the lobivia from all sides, but there were no signs of buds at all. I didn’t expect that the cactus would be ready to bloom already this year. And judging by the ratio of flowers in the photos on the network with the size of the adult plant, the sight is going to be very impressive. 🙂
